Shounen Series - Yaoi Pairing Question

A friend on NF posed this question and I thought it was an interesting one and am interested in anyone's feedback:

"Are yaoi pairings, such as KakaIru and SasuNaru, as popular in other (shounen) series as these apparently are? The fandom seems huge, and for me who's not immersed in pairings outside of this series, I don't know if shipping yaoi is this popular for all series or if Naruto really has something 'special' going on with its appeal."

Don't usually do these but couldn't resist this one (as difficult as it was to number them, especially the top two - which could flip flop depending on mood ;)).  I've found that my 'harem' would be quite large...

(1) List 16 anime/manga/game characters you would have sex with without even asking questions.
(2) Put all of them in order of your lust for them. (1 is the hottest.)
(3) Supply photos.</lj>

I'm thrilled to 'show off' the second of three commissioned Cloud/Leon fanart pieces ~ this stunning piece is done by Aede-Chan :iconaede-chan: on DA. I'm so pleased and awed to have one of her digital works. Definitely check out her gallery, if haven't already done so.

For those of you that don't know ~ I'm a HUGE Cloud(FFVII AC)/Leon (Squall Leonhart KH2) fan!

I blame this love of these two unbelievably gorgeous, strong and reserved fictional characters on Tetsuya Nomura for his 'godly' character designs and especially on my wonderful and tremendously talented author & friend, [info]stellareclipses  Her CloudxLeon 'moments' are incredibly intimate and stunning and capture both their personalities ~ strengths and weaknesses flawlessly.

This *love* for Leon and Cloud lead me to 'scout' out some of the best talent on DA in hopes for a commission worthy of these two characters.

I blame this love of these two unbelievably gorgeous, strong and reserved fictional characters on Tetsuya Nomura for his 'godly' character designs and especially on my wonderful and tremendously talented author & friend, [info]stellareclipses Her CloudxLeon 'moments' are incredibly intimate and stunning and capture both their personalities ~ strengths and weaknesses flawlessly.

This *love* for Leon and Cloud lead me to 'scout' out some of the best talent on DA in hopes for a commission worthy of these two characters. This amazing COMMISSION was done for me by the 'ultimately talented', fabulous and wonderful artist Cataclysm-X. I can't thank her enough for creating such a gorgeous detailed drawing for me.
